Dr. Sandy Bigman founded this orthodontic practice in San Ramon and cared for families here for more than three decades. Dr. Jenée Kaplan has taken over the practice, now called Canyon Lakes Orthodontics, and the two worked through the transition together. Patients already in treatment continue without interruption.
What is changing
The practice has a new name and a new orthodontist. Canyon Lakes Orthodontics is the same practice, in the same building on Bollinger Canyon Way in San Ramon, under Dr. Jenée Kaplan.
The website address has changed. The old site is being retired, and this is where the practice lives now.
What is not changing
Patients already in treatment continue without interruption — the same office, the same records, and the same team.
Your treatment plan does not restart. Dr. Kaplan and Dr. Bigman worked through the handover together specifically so that nobody in active treatment has to repeat a stage or start again.
The warm, family-oriented environment that patients have described here for three decades is the thing both doctors set out to keep.

If you finished treatment years ago and need a retainer replaced or a check on something that has moved, that is still the right place to call. Retainers and old records do not expire with a change of ownership, and a retainer replaced promptly is a much smaller problem than teeth that have drifted for a year.
If you are mid-treatment and were seeing Dr. Bigman, nothing about your plan restarts. The records, the scans and the treatment sequence came across with the practice, which is the specific reason the two doctors ran the handover together rather than closing one practice and opening another.

Same building, same suite, same parking — the office is on Bollinger Canyon Way, upstairs on the north side. Canyon Lakes Dental, a separate general dentistry practice, is still in Suite 105 of the same building, so look for Suite 102.
